Today, I awoke after 4 hours of surgery. The male nurse taking care of me is cute, very cute. I'm trying my best to seem fine and dandy when he tells me that I can't eat anything before my next poop, adding, "And don't flush it, OK? I need to check." FML

He's a nurse, and it's professional. Medical staff are used to so many bodily functions that this isn't something to be embarrassed about.

Even if he was interested in you, it's against the law to date a patient. You have to wait 2 years after them being discharged from the hospital to extend the relationship from professional to personal... Sad but true

I tell my patients I've seen it all too. I have and really nothing phases me (well except thick mucus but I get through it and never let on). But if I were the patient - I still would have been mortified!
