Maybe he read your messages on facebook showing that u might be flirting with other guys. Or he did not like the way you talk to other guys. All he did was to teach you a lesson. He should have talked to you first though. And I just hope that u are not cheating on him else u do deserve it. :)

There's protective, and then there's this. Unless you've given him due cause (flirty messages, history of cheating) there is no reason to be obsessive like this. You really need to set out boundaries and stick to them, even if it means dumping this possessive guy. Grow a spine!
