Today, I bought a CD off a man who always plays Spanish guitar in the subway. When I got to work and tried playing the CD, it was blank. I paid $15 for a blank CD. FML

i bet that was either in L.A. or in N.Y. I'm not even american, and even I know that you're not supposed to do that, they just want money and leave the CD's blank... YDI

If he ripped you off, at least you won't have to listen to him in the subway anymore.

Well, you can either go back or treat is as a donation to the poor...not that he is actually poor or anything

OP: You didnt deserve a Blank CD, you did much more to help $15 towards a homeless (I say homeless if your playing spanish gutair everyday in a subway), which is more than he was expecting, but then again, homeless will do anything to make $$ and scam the rest of us.

Welcome to New York :) No way you're a native if you were willing to spend $15 on a subway musician's CD lol. Next time, just give them the money. If you really are just trying to do a good deed, you won't expect anything in return. If you're honestly looking for music...again, welcome to New York City, you can definitely find stores with reasonably priced CDs all over the place.

you're stupid for buying a cd off a hobo, but even more stupid for paying $15

I think it was a nice gesture to try and help someone by BUYING their CD.

If he plays in the subway everyday, I really doubt that he even has a way of recording his music, let alone a computer to burn those CDs with.

The OP didn't say this guy's a hobo. He could be a genuine street performer. If he was a homeless bum would he really be able to stay in the same place all the time selling blank CDs and never have been caught out before now?

If he were a hobo he would have been ON THE SUBWAY, waited for her to fall asleep, and then rubbed himself up against her arms/legs for some hobo lovin. Don't you people follow these FMLs regularly, ITS PANDEMIC!!!

Honestly, he might not know he sold you a blank CD. If you see him again, let him know. My hubby's in a band, and a few weeks ago we threw out free copies of his demo at a show. Oops, my computer was being the dinosaur that it is and didn't actually burn anything. We replaced all of them, of course. Anyway... just a thought.
