Today, I bought a fish bowl and a fish for $15. I brought him home and sat him on my desk. Everything was going well until the shelf gave out and his bowl slid off of the shelf... onto my $2,000 computer. The computer is fried and is not covered by the insurance, the fish is fine. FML

What? Did you WANT the fish to get hurt?

OMG! This happened to me a couple of months ago! Brand new laptop, the one time I put it on my desk, my cat chose that moment to play with the fish, causing it to fall onto the laptop, completely frying it, and yea, the fish is still alive.

I'm glad it ruined your computer and not the fish...the fish is a living creature, it doesn't deserve to die.

I am also aware that I created a typo in the word "learinng", so no need to point that out. The edit timer caught me.

I'm glad to hear the fish is fine. Insurance next time babe :)

You're an idiot, a $2,000 dollar computer is better than a $600 dollar computer. Sure you can BUILD a computer for 600, but the more money you spend building it the better it is. Mine cost ~1,500 ATM. Also, OP is an idiot because the whole computer is not broken. There is no way that amount of water can ALL go into the computer and damage everything. At worst it's just the power supply which is broken.

My "Momma" didn't write anything for me. I just took some time with that one since you two seem to start caring about grammar and spelling all of a sudden. I just mention my schooling since you feel a need to insult my intelligence with your comments of me needing a thesaurus. I'm sorry I'm educated I guess. You all are so caught up in this "hypocrisy" stuff that it's all you're talking about. The only point I was getting at with a comment I posted hours ago was that she cares way too much about this and thinks that insults from herself and now you are going to affect anything. It's counterproductive if anything, and I'm sure you can agree with at least that last part.

You got the fish home, set it on your desk, so what shelf gave out? This 1 is bogus.

She should try out that Insaniquarium game online...no water, no ruined computer, and she still gets pet fish. :] Or just get a fish screensaver.

YDI for valuing a computer over the life of a "5 dollar fish". I mean, yeah, it costs more...but would you HONESTLY rather have an animal crushed alive than a machine ruined? I was totally on your side until I read that last comment.
