Today, I bought my daughter a bunk bed. After spending several hours building it, she climbed up, then fainted. Turns out she's afraid of heights. FML

YDI for not going to test drive the bed in the store first. Saying that. It isn't that high. Make a game of it and she will soon get over it. Bunk beds are awesome. :-P

Yeah, because we all test drive beds before we get them..

I tried test driving mines but it wouldnt start

Get her what I have, a racecar bed. They're more fun to test drive. Watch out for other shoppers though....

I bet you drive it of the lot huh? Its ok, the down payment on your "special bed“ must've been hell. An I right

Should've asked her before buying one but on the other side of the story just take it back

He put it together already. There's no way he is getting it back perfectly into the box and taking it back to the store, Dumbass.

She must be really afraid because bunk beds aren't that high

Shouldn't you know your daughters afraid of heights?

Maybe this is how they found out.

It might be the first time they've really had a chance at a height like that. Oddly enough, bunk beds can seem much higher than they are when you're young because of how close the ceiling is.

It's a bunk bed it has two beds just use the lower one if she's afraid of that (highly unlikely) return it Simples *meerkat noise*

Yet again, Fekl's picture makes up for his/her comment =D

What doesn't make sense I'm saying it is a bunkbed so the daughter could sleep on the bottom bunk and if she's still scared of using the bunkbed (which is very unlikely)OP could return it to the shop. I then quote a popular advert. Simples *meerkat noise*

Some bunkbeds just have the top bunk. Underneath is a desk and chair or play area.

Go on YouTube and look at the compare the Market adverts. They're really popular on the UK so I quoted them

I wonder how old she is my niece used to freak out a foot off the ground

She could use the bottom one and use the top to store stuff on it like I do :)

At least there won't be an issue getting her to fall asleep at night now, I say keep it.
