Today, I called a friend of mine who was recently in an accident. She told me that the head trauma has caused her to lose all sense of smell and taste. To try and cheer her up, I suggested I take her out to lunch. FML

I actually suffered a serious car accident, about ten years ago. Until today, I do not have a sense of taste. So I can definitely relate….

i was in one too. it made me deaf for a while in my right ear, and there's still times where it goes out

She still is going to get hungry. The good news is you can take her to a place that serves cheap, horrible food. You'll get the brownie points for doing a good deed without busting your budget. Of course, you'll have to choke down the nasty crap, but that's the price of being a miser.

Wow, I once lost my sense of taste and smell for a month, but cottage cheese became my favorite food because of the texture.
