While I can see that it's possible that he may have forwarded the call, I see that as the exception (granted this is my opinion, so...). I know people who work as global alliance managers, for homeland security, on-call firefighters, etc and all of these people use their cell phone as their main line. In fact, if they do have a home phone at all, it's used mainly to catch voicemail messages that they don't want clogging up their cell.
