Today, I came home crying after my boyfriend dumped me for another girl. My dad told me to come tell him what was wrong. I sat down and let it all out, after which he looked up from his book, into my eyes, and gave me his loving advice: "Just cry about it and move on to another bastard." FML

At least he took the time to listen to you , and he chose to treat you like an adult by not buttering up the simple solution of just moving on, if the guy would leave you for some other girl then he obviously doesn't deserve, instead be glad that you didn't invest any more time in the asshole

It's actually true.. That's what you have to do. Forget about that ********, cry over him, eventually realize how much of a ******** he was, start to think, "wow, he was horrible to me. What did I ever see in him. He could seriously do anything to get me back right now, and I would still turn him down." And move on.
