Today, I came home crying after my boyfriend dumped me for another girl. My dad told me to come tell him what was wrong. I sat down and let it all out, after which he looked up from his book, into my eyes, and gave me his loving advice: "Just cry about it and move on to another bastard." FML

Think of it this way OP. Dad's want their daughters to be happy, even tho they say stuff that seem like they dont care, they really do. My father is always telling me that there is someone out there that deserves me. Your father in his own way is telling you the same thing. Dont be mad at your father, he just is expressing his love for you in his own way.
