Today, I came home from living in Spain for 2 years. My mom made dinner for me, and she had forgotten about my allergy to citrus, because she made lemon chicken. After using my EpiPen, and calling 911 for myself, I heard my mom say to my dad, "She always did have to be the center of attention." FML

Today, my mom baked a cake for the whole family. One spent EpiPen later, I found out there were nuts in it, which I'm severely allergic to. My mom's defense was that she thought I'd have "gotten over" my allergy by now. FML

Today, my boyfriend’s mom fed me a new dish containing peanuts, knowing full well I’m severely allergic. According to her, her ancestors “cured” allergies by exposing the person to the allergen. I went into anaphylactic shock. FML

Today, my Dad decided to take his medicine before eating. He passed out with his face in a plate of chocolate cake. He wasn't responsive so I called the paramedics. When he got to the hospital, the doctor asked him if he knew why he was there. He replied, "Because my stupid daughter overreacted." FML

Today, after taking vacation time to visit her, my mom told me she was glad I was leaving so she could get back to her diet. I'm prediabetic and have been trying to manage the condition. She ordered dessert at every meal and was the only one in the family who did. FML

Today, I had a mild allergic reaction from eating pasta salad. I told my mom that I might be allergic to the parsley, since it was the only ingredient that I don't eat often. She made me eat a sprig of it to "make sure." Now my face is covered in hives. FML

Close call

Today, while working at a children's day camp, one of the kids who is allergic to peanuts went into anaphylactic shock. I ran and grabbed the boy's Epipen. I was holding it backwards so the injection went into my hand, causing me to pass out, and both of us to be rushed to hospital. FML

Today, I was talking to my parents when all of a sudden my dad started freaking out and asking my mom how I got this really bad allergy on my face. My mom just laughed, and then I had to explain to him that it was just my acne. The worst part is that he was dead serious the whole time. FML

Today, while making dinner I cut my finger badly with a knife. When I yelled for my dad to drive me to the hospital, he accused me of lying to get attention. He had to taste my blood before he decided it wasn't red-colored corn syrup. FML

oh my god! that's horrible! how could your own mother forget about your food allergy? especially an allergy thats bad enought to cause you to need an epipen. sometimes my grandparents forget about my allergies, but i don't see them all that much... man. i can't believe that she was ignorant enough to say that too.

Why would you eat lemon chicken anyway? If you know your own allergies, isn't it your responsibility to check things for citrus? I do that with what I'm allergic to...I don't expect people to remember what I'm allergic to, and you shouldn't either. Grow up and take care of yourself... And lemon chicken? Really? There's obviously citrus in it...moron.

Today, I decided to upgrade my basic, bland mediocre cooking and I tried a new recipe for lemon chicken. My daughter, the hypochondriac, faked an allergic reaction and stole the show with the whole ambulance thing. No one told me how they liked the chicken. FML.

Your mom sucks man. Don't you just hate it when your own mother or father sya it liek honestly. They dont seem to like some of us the same way as they should. Parents can be haters usually. My parents become a hater to me often. Dont put up with it.
