Today, I completed driving school. After 30 hours of classwork, 6 hours of driving lessons, and a very tough driving test, I passed and can now get a 15% safe driver insurance discount. My friend just told me he only had to watch a 15 minute video to get the same discount. FML

Isn't this what the real test should be like it's pretty messed up when the insurance company has tougher standards then the government just for a discount.

try needing 120 hours of supervised driving with a licensed driver all filled out in a booklet including how many kilometres driven, how long the driving was, what the weather and road conditions were like as well as the level of traffic on the road, THEN taking a driving test, that cost $60 every time one needs to take it, with no discount!

I had a 8 hour class one ten minute video and a test with five questions then four days later I got my driver license

You probably learned a lot more in driving school. If you can drive safely that is not bad in anyway at all. It could be very beneficial to you staying alive so really you win.
