Those are common core so unless you grew up in a common core state then it doesn't matter.
that's the point of the show
they intentionally make all their contestants stupid...at least you realize your inadequacy so theres hope
That show isn't so much about how stupid adults are, it's more so about how silly the things are we teach our children now a days.
It's all because that's busy work. Those kids aren't "geniuses" they're just told to memorize the answers
people fresh out of college can't answer most of them, as there have been many contestants of such standards. but the kids are specially tutored to only know the answers to the questions.
Being smart is knowing things. Being intelligent is how much you can learn in a given time.
well, fifth graders are in school and constantly learning, where you have been out of school and haven't been exposed to those kinds of facts in a very long time.

The questions on that show don't indicate intelligence. Almost all of the things they ask are about pointless knowledge that nobody truly learns in school. What they test people with is as pointless as a crossword puzzles. Remember, there's a difference between being smart and knowing things.
That show is SO beyond 5th grade. I was watching an episode my junior year of high school, and they asked a question that I had learned less than two weeks prior. And of course the fake 5th grader knew it. Bullshit!
