SassyBasher tells us more.
The poster was not offensive in any way, there were no triggering pictures, and the principal okayed it but apparently changed his mind at the last minute WITHOUT telling me. The reason I was trying to raise awareness is because I recently lost a close friend to suicide after she cut to deeply.

I think raising awareness is very important. I suffer from depression and anxiety disorders and began to self-harm in my early teens, because it was the only way I could stop myself from thinking about suicide. No-body had ever told me how addictive it was, and 8 years later I am still an addict (though I re-lapse very rarely). It can ruin your life, its ruined relationships, put me in hospital, and turned me to drinking (which I have since given up- yay!) Also people at school who found out seemed to think I was doing it for attention/sympathy/or as a bloody fashion statement (that freakin' 'emo' tag), and I ended up getting bullied, which of course made it worse. Educating people about the addictive nature of it, the way it can affect a range of people (and not just troubled teenagers) could really help a lot.
Glad things are starting to look up, hopefully you have a strong and supportive family and friends that you can lean on during your struggles. You can also start a support group in your area for teens and adults that self harm and you could gather however often is necessary and do fun activities like biking, reading, writing or anything else that you can use as a creative outlet.
Admin in schools has been really sucking these days. They make rules and do stuff that makes no sense whatsoever.
Just how graphic was it? It was against self harm wasn't it?
I'm so glad you're proactive enough to have gotten this far. Take your story to the papers, they can't ignore issues like this!
Why were you posting stuff at your school without notifying your principal first?
That really does suck. Well you're one of my favorite people now (and I don't even know you) for trying to raise awareness for it.

What a joke, #86. This girl is trying to prevent those in need from killing themselves. Funding isn't going to open discussion for those who feel trapped, raising awareness will open discussion and peoples hearts. Grow up and stop trying to put down a noble cause.
It's shit like this that gets me pissed off about society these days. You try and do something good to promote the good in society, but end up getting bashed and punished for it.
