Wow, way to take this to an extreme. A romantic proposal isn't necessary, it always depends on the couple. If proposing in bed is something special between the two, then leave them to it. No one mentioned low standards in any other aspect. You sound like a bridezilla and who wants to marry that? Good luck.

It's better than my friend, who got proposed to outside a movie theater before watching Hotel Transylvania. He didn't even get down on one knee, just held out an unboxed ring and asked her if she wanted to marry him.
