I think people aren't enough time to dress properly. I shouldn't say that because people should be able to dress how they like though. Just saying... stereotyping...
wow...that sucks....... :(
I assume you didn't break mid-conversation to come here and post this "FML", so you probably confirmed that they actually thought you were gay. Big deal. So you found out your parents love you no matter what, and they were willing to make a nice dinner for you and your partner. Your life is fine on this front.
Alright, there is nothing wrong with being a homosexual in the first place. I know your probably not, but you obviously did some things in that past to make your parents suspect you of a different sexuality. If not, then they either accidently said "he" instead of "she" or they were just joking around. The whole situation is no big deal unless it is the unlikely scenario in which you honestly have done NOTHING in the past that would allow them to even think a thought like that, AND they were being 100% serious and actually literally thought you were gay. Therefore, YDI..... most likely.
So what? You are lucky to have parents who would support you if you were gay.
story of my life. My parents think I'm gay too
what's so bad about that? unless your parents are one of those people who think gays are "fairies".
At least they're accepting.

what if they just thought it was a good friend...
I see your point... I've had male friends over for dinner and I am definitely not gay. And OP, besides, consider yourself lucky! If you ever decided to become gay (haha or even bi) at least you know your parents are accepting!
