Today, I discovered my parents have spent my college fund because "2012 will happen" before I graduate. FML

Just remember, you get to pick their nursing home.

pay them back by burning their cars to ashes, "2012 will happen soon, we need too save money on gas so I can go to college."

Actually they said it we be in 2500 or so, or Febuary 2011

Let's see. If someone actually -knew- when the end of the world will be, there wouldn't be so many "educated guesses" of when the day will be. December 31, 1999 at the stroke of midnight February 2011 May 2011 December 2012 the year 2500 (not sure of a month) among others Do you -really- think they can predict the end of the world based on the Mayan calendar? It's simply the end of the Era, according to the Mayans. There have been many eras before, for example, the Renaissance. Did anything happen as we transitioned to the next era? Nope. Forgive me for not being able to remember the rest of the eras; I just woke up. :/

yes 2012 will happen after 12/31/11 lol What you're not going to enjoy the new year??? =p

If you're the one that put up that nasty picture a few days back, shame on you! If you're not, my bad.

tell them that when they are still alive in 2042, you will pick the nursing home that reeks the strongest like pee.

fyl for having stupid gullable parents, i feel sorry for you, sortof believing that 2012 MIGHT happen and preparing for it is one thing, acting like its a certainty is dumb.. tell your folks to stop watching movies

Well just be thankful you didn't inherit their gullible genes c

oh right, Nostradamus predicted that, just like he predicted that everything would explode in 2000, my bad...

it just means u need to get ur ass a job to pay for school like the rest of us. welcome to reality

The reality is that OP's parents promised them that money to help and then spent it. Just because parents have a college fund doesn't mean they spoil their child; it means they want to help their child succeed.
