NO, IT'S NOT HERPES- STUPID PEOPLE. I'd go to your primary physician and your dentist about this, there are things that can be done for canker sores.
OP, I can relate to that. My advice would be: rinse your mouth after every meal, and use the extracts of camomile, oak bark and sage for the rinsing. Also, if the ulcers are really deep and painful, use antibiotic ointments on them (just be careful to not swallow those, they don't taste very pleasant). And don't eat sour/spicy food, that will make things waaaay worse D:
Go get some OTC 800 mg Folic Acid take that before going to sleep at night. I had braces for 2 years & the FA stopped all sores. I worked in Sales & had to talk it was miserable with all the sores, wax was worthless & messy.
This is what the whole abstinance campaign is all about.
I get those a lot too. after years of seeing doctors for them that couldn't help me, I finally found out that eating lots of yogurt makes them go away. (or taking probiotics in general, but I prefer it in yogurt form because the coolness of it is soothing)

Haha I know exactly how that feels, having had my braces removed a year ago. Don't worry, it'll pass, just give it a week or so (:
I didn't have mouth ulcers back when I had braces or as a result of them being removed. You probably have some other sort of mouth related issue.
