Today, I discovered that just because I got my braces removed does not mean my painful mouth ulcers will stop. I now have them under my tongue. I can't even lick my lips. FML

I didn't have mouth ulcers back when I had braces or as a result of them being removed. You probably have some other sort of mouth related issue.

Get sage candy or essence of sage at the pharmacy, it helps disinfect the ulcers. On the other hand, when at the pharmacy, you can get something more powerful to treat your aphthous oral infection. Or, see a doctor.

If they are in your mouth, try putting a Tums on it and let the Tums disolve on it.

happens to most of us with braces. I have had mine off for over a year now and I still have dents in my gums.

Some mouth ulcers are due to high acid in the blood. Try removing vinegar and mustard from your diet.
