I do have a password! She makes me give it to her. Now I know why.. And to those asking I found out by waking up to her next to me on my phone, then quickly running out of my room

I think that's what a password in your phone is for. (unless she knows your password)
That sucks! My mum and step dad check my phone randomly, and it's so awkward! I've had arguments that I want to keep private from them but they don't let me... Your mum could at least ask you before looking at your phone, but I still think it's totally out of order for your mum to look through your phone
Have u heard about a concept called locks or passwords?
Have you ever heard about a concept called reading the follow up so you have more of the story before you comment?
I love how people are commenting about parents not trusting their kids. you obviously haven't been raising kids. and those parents who are too liberal with their kids are the ones who have a surprise teenage pregnancy or even worse. you have to be on the case at all times kids are very sneaky! I'm not a mother yet but I've helped raise kids.
That's why you have to find a good balance. Yeah if you're too lenient things could go wrong, but if you aren't trusting enough then it's likely that you're kid will just end up resenting you and won't want to tell you anything at all. So it's important to find a good balance between the two- snooping through text messages that aren't yours is NOT a good balance.
Everyone who says everyone is entitled to their privacy, until you are a legal adult then you don't really have any, but even then your parents can still invade it but you at the very least have an argument
If she pays for your phone bill then she has every right to do that
Invasion of privacy much! You should really talk to your mom about that. Sorry op! Hopefully you don't have anything up there that you don't want her too see.
Get thee a password!

I hope you had a long talk...Talk about invasion of privacy.
Sounds like you two need to have a serious talk about privacy. and it might be a good idea to put a password on your phone for in the future
