Today, I dropped a new 50lb box of tiles. Luckily, none of the tiles broke. I'm assuming this is because my foot cushioned the fall. FML

I once dropped an unopened can of soup of all things on my bare foot, and it hurt like Hades . I can't imagine what dropping something weighing 50 lbs must feel like. I'm sorry OP.

You stuck your foot out to break its fall, didn't you? Most young people do. But without fail, one experience is enough to tell them that breaking their foot is a much bigger deal than breaking just about anything else by dropping it.

I once dropped our school's brand new full-sized tuba on my foot. The tube was fine, but I had to hobble my way around school for the rest of the day
