Today, I drove in heavy rain for the first time, by myself. I had been told to drive below the speed limit, and be extra careful of the cars around me. Nobody had told me about thunder scaring a cow that would then escape from the corral and hit my car. FML

I've had a couch 55 miles an hour at least it wasn't in the middle of the road

When driving in the country in the rain the steaks are higher. Good that you were driving sensibly and mooving slower but some things cannot be avoided.

You did everthing right, but that's what you can call an accident, OP. Sometimes it just happens and when have no control of it whatsoever

Next time remember to say, "Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there."

And all this time I've been under the impression that only happy cows come from California...

You'll run into stuff like that as long as you drive, OP. It isn't always the fault of the driver, things just kinda happen! I hope you're okay.

Don't get me wrong OP, I'm glad you're alright, but how's the cow?

This is clearly false; it does not simply rain in California
