Today, I entered a restaurant just to use the WiFi. In order not to look cheap, I ordered a meal and a beverage. The WiFi didn't work and now I don't have enough money to buy dinner. FML

Today, some friends and I went to IHOP. We joked about not having enough money, and as it turns out we were $5 short. We put down what we had and left. Upon getting to the car, I realized I'd forgotten my phone, and had to go back. I made eye contact with our waitress, our money in her hand. FML

Today, I went to a restaurant to order food with just a $100 bill. They no longer had what I came for, so I left. When I got to my car, I realized - no bill. I went back in for them to say they hadn't seen it, and they wouldn’t check the cameras. I know the lady working there picked it up since I was the only customer. FML

Today, I went to a restaurant with my friend, where my credit card got denied in front of everyone. The staff teased me and made me sit in the restaurant while my friend begged for money outside. FML

Today, I went to a restaurant and only brought $14 with me to eat. I ordered and ate my meal, then went to the counter to pay for it. I threw $2 into the tip jar then got my bill. My bill was $13.86. I had to reach into the tip jar and take my $2 back so I could pay for my meal. FML

Today, I forgot my phone in a restaurant bathroom because I was too distracted trying to steal three rolls of toilet paper without anyone noticing. After sinking that low because I was too broke to buy my own toilet roll, I'm now also in the market for a new phone. FML

Today, I went out with a friend to grab some food and we were served by this really cute and fun waiter. Stepping out of my comfort zone and deciding to do something crazy, I left my phone number on the bill. I got home only to realize that I forgot to pay the bill. FML

Today, I used the last dollar in my PayPal Tap to pay to get myself a little something for work lunch. The register glitched just before the transaction finished, but it still took the money. No cash, no lunch. FML

Why would you order a meal if you don't have enough money? They usually have the prices next to everything, no offense but you deserve that one. Also, future reference McDonald's(like someone else said) has free Wi-Fi plus cheap food and Starbucks. You could also go walk around Walmart since they also have free Wi-Fi and you don't have to spend money :)

Places like McDonald's have free wifi and I doubt they'd care if you didn't buy anything and used their wifi? Or if they did you could just buy a small drink so they can't complain.

Yep, so many errors here. If you couldn't pay for dinner when buying that food and you wanted dinner, you shouldn't have just spent the money. It's wise to check on the wi-fi working before purchasing, you can sit outside a business if you're desperate, local libraries have wi-fi, and in your choice, why not go for the one cheapest thing off the menu? When you're poor, you have to be, and sometimes look, cheap or get especially creative and flexible. Wise up, honey.

I don't understand why you ordered a meal if you can't pay for it?? where was the logic in that? lots of places have free wifi. it's kind of hard to feel sorry for you when you deliberately ordered food when you know you couldn't pay for it. YDI.

First of all, how did you post this if the wifi didn't work? And you knew how much money you had before walking in, so why did you order food? I clicked "You deserved it," but really you knowingly stole from that restaurant, so I really don't think you deserved that free meal you got.
