Hey if your dad also happened to be the instructor, then he was in the best position to know if you were ready. Remember, dad loves you and wants to make sure you know what you are doing before he lets you put yourself in a dangerous situation. Talk to him and find out what you need to practice. Main thing - Pay attention to whats going on around you while driving. No texting!

Your dad being the instructor doesn't guarantee you get a free pass. If you thought it would, I hate you.
What do you expect? Your father to pass you automatically just because you are his daughter? Yea , because that is sooo much more important then actually being a safe driver.
Okay, but what if we happened to assimilate into an English-speaking country other than the United States? I'm a 2nd-generation Canadian. The OP is from Germany anyway, and I'm sure Brit English makes more sense there.

ydi for thinking he would let you drive even if you suck

Just because he is your father, it does not mean he is going to automatically pass you. Clearly, you are not a great driver yet. lol.
It seems that either your dad is a bad teacher or you are a bad student! :P
