All lives matter (!?!?).
Can I say I love you for using a tilde properly? I'm a little excited to actually see it be used.
Well I guess you better go back to what you fed it before...or find something else
what kind of python? are we talking ball python or Burmese python? if it's a ball python that rat is too big to eat. try feeder mice from petco. depending on shedding and mating patterns, it may just be fasting.
Lol if it's a Burmese then it's cold or sick... I've never in my life seen a Burmese turn down a meal... hungry or not
Be careful, the rat may attack it later. I've seen it happen, it isn't pretty. Glad all my snakes eat f/t mice, though it isn't without its risks.
Was it the first time you fed him live food? If so he might just not eat it and you gotta get the rat out of there asap before he claws at the snake
Well if that living arrangement is going to continue make sure there's food for the rat to eat, otherwise it will eventually attack your snake.

Your Phyton is probably not hungry right now or something is wrong with his stomach
As soon as he gets hungry he'll eat it, so unless the rat shows signs he wants to bite your Python I wouldn't worry
