the snake is not dead or bitten. I knew what I was doing and the rat is dead and eaten. they were all buddy for a matter of 20 minutes.

My python is a rescue because of that... The rat ate through most of his spine & muscles. Luckily, his 1st owners finally took the rat out & gave him to some friends of mine for rehab. After ~1 year of rehab, he was able to be re-homed :-) It is common for ball pythons to refuse food. It is common that live food left in the enclosure will eat the snake. It's a slow and painful death for the snake.
besssssssst friendsssssss
Dude film it and send it in to unlikely animal friends!
Feeding live is an amazing way to give your python serious injuries. In the future, be prepared to keep uneaten rodents until the next feeding attempt. Please google snakes snacked on by their prey. *Applies anti-retard spray to self*
poor guy was so lonely food became bestfriend.
I am from India and in most parts snakes DO NOT crawl around in Homes!
That'll change in a day or two.
Don't forget to feed your new rat

Your Phyton is probably not hungry right now or something is wrong with his stomach
As soon as he gets hungry he'll eat it, so unless the rat shows signs he wants to bite your Python I wouldn't worry
