Today, I finally figured out why my 5 year-old daughter washes her hair every day. It's because she doesn't want to have "yucky greasy hair like her mommy." FML

well ya know dermatologist say that your not supposed to wash your hair every day. why are you people so mean? why can you just say you deserved it and move on? can you just not go 20 minutes without calling someone a ******* idiot or saying something rude? it doesnt really change someones personality by telling them there ******* retarded, it just shows that youre a loser with a low self asteem and you have to put others down to feel better.

youre not 'supposed' to necessarily, its depends on how fast your hair get greasy. for the most part its really bad for your hair to wash it everyday cause its stressful for it, especially if youre a girl and have long hair. and 5 year olds hair does not get greasy fast since they havent gone through puberty........ this is all far too into a needless discussion anyways, my bad. and to the op, MAYBE DONT HAVE GREASY HAIR THEN U SLOB

i dont wash my hair everyday... more so every 1-2 days. i have to flat iron mine because if i dont its a big wavy poofy mess, and it takes way to long for me to flat iron it every day seeing as how i have long thick hair. and like many have said it looks best one the 1st to 2nd day of no shower

Wow. Is most of this site just full of people who have no idea what "good hygiene" is? Children do not need to wash their hair every day because it doesn't get as oily as adult hair (does no one have younger siblings, nieces, nephews, or younger cousins?). Also, it can be bad for you to wash your hair every day. You can shower without washing your hair and put baby powder or cornstarch in your hair and comb it through to absorb some of the excess oil. There are other products that you can use, too. I myself have shorter thin hair and I try to not wash it too often. My hair gets pretty oily though so I have to wash it whenever I go out. Days that I don't work and don't have anything planned I stay away from washing my hair and brush my hair so the oils can reach the tips of the hair.

Some people need to wash their hair everyday to keep it from being greasy! Others only wash it every other day or on the 3rd day to keep their hair from being dried out! So stfu with the debate, cuz it's going nowhere...
