Today, I finally got around to doing laundry. The washing machines in my condominium building take about an hour to do a load. When I returned to throw my clothes in a dryer, I realized they were never washed in the first place. I used my card and detergent to pay for another person's laundry. FML

you guys are so dumb! OP trusted that his/her clothes would be washed properly and left. then someone came in when it was just getting started and replaced OP's clothes with theirs. make sense now? that's how things are when you live in a condo or small appartment building

lol I like how everyone says "how do you not pay attention it was your clothes" obviously this FML means that someone replaced his clothes after he left.

That's not even possible with most pay-op washing machines. It certainly isn't with any I've seen.

Sounds like to me someone came along and switched OPs clothes with theirs just as the wash was starting. I find it hard to believe that they would forget which washer was theirs or just insert money in a random washer. I lived in an apartment building and the former is much more believable. But still, not enough info to vote either way. And for those saying YDI for not having your own washer in dryer have obviously never lived in an apartment or condo complex before, and apparently have enough money to buy a set.

YDI for abandoning your clothes in a community wash room in the first place. And for not being observant enough to realize the washer with your clothes in it wasn't going. Seriously, who buys a condo and doesn't get a washer/dryer set of their own?
