I hate people that can't keep their word. Just throw it in his face every time he asks you to do future chores. And from now on, get paid up front first.

Well, if you're living there rent free, you should be helping with the chores. But if he said he was going to pay you and tells you to 'get ******', that just a very bad parent. Sorry OP.

If you're living there rent free and get fed and clothed, then the least you could do is some chores and not expect anything in return. Earn your keep. That's what I had to do, pay for the privledge of being born.
