Today, I finished my SAT and was feeling pretty good about it. I decided to turn on my phone, since it was on silent. As the guy was collecting our tests, my phone vibrated a little. My score was cancelled. It was a text from my mom reminding me to turn off my phone. FML

Why would you ever, ever turn your phone on when still in the room? You deserve that twice.

you deserve that sooo much...they repeat over and over again DO NOT TURN YOUR PHONE ON UNTIL YOU LEAVE THE BUILDING, is it that hard to be away from your cell phone for two seconds in order to take one of the most important tests of your academic life??

EVERYONE should know by now that the phone is test suicide. Especially during an SAT!!!!!!! maybe those other tests wouldn't care, but the SAT will get the score canceled just for looking the wrong way. That was just retarded of you. I can't even believe you lacked the sense not to do that. Just because the test was over didn't mean you were out of test mode. I'd beat my college scholarship that most of the people saying your life is ****** either took the SAT before everyone had a cellphone or has NEVER taken or heard about the seriousness of the SAT. Don't blame mom. If you had waited to turn it on AFTER the test, your score would have been sent in. YDI big time!

Oh my god do you REALIZE how many times they tell you not to even have it on??? WHY would you risk having to retake the SAT for a few priceless minutes with a phone you cant even use. I just took my AP and if we had one AT ALL we had to put it in a box. OFF. They are SOO strict you completely deserved this.

YDI it for having it on. But FYL for having it happen.

They cant cancel your score only deduct it. That's messed up.

I would say you deserve something, but not that severe. But your mom definitely deserves to to have lost $50 or however much it costs. She's the biggest dumbass of this situation.

omigod another one? im sorry but this is so cliche... example "Today, i was told not do something, then my cell phone rings (or anything alse) telling me to not screw the certain something up. FML" DOESNT ANYONE ELSE SEE A PATTERN HERE?????????????

YDI. Can't you live without your phone for a few hours?

They definitely cancel your score. It doesn't matter when during the test it happens: the start, the middle, the end. If you are even suspected of cheating in the least bit, you are told to leave and your test is void. YDI x 1000000. Why would you EVER turn your phone on during the SAT when the explicitly tell you like 50 times to not even bring it. Ah, the future generations of America look so brilliant...

Yes, I would have to say that you absolutely deserved that one. Could you not wait the last few seconds until you were allowed to leave the room? Gracious. I'm sorry, but that's quite possibly one of the most idiotic things I've ever heard.
