You daughter should be smart enough to not leave expensive electronics in her pocket. I have no clue why you got so many YDIs. If your daughter is old enough to have an iPod, she's old enough to empty out her pockets.
actually I'm being completely honest. She just a spoiled little brat that got and gets what ever she wants. I asked her myself what grade she was in. And even if it was for her parents to keep in touch with her. I forgot what phone it was, but it wasn't a cheaply bought phone. Also, I understand giving your kid a cheap phone if they are at any kind of sporting pratice and when it is over they can call but she was on the bus they dont need their phone at school. specially if they are in Pre-k.
Try putting it in a tub of (raw) rice, it's really absorbant and has dried out the gadgets of loads of people I know.
iPod touches are different. They're so damn sensitive that one drop of moisture will fry it.
actually, #55, I've accidently dropped my Itouch into the bathtub. After letting it dry a few days, it still works. It doesn't work properly and the screen is kind of messed up, but it still plays music perfectly well. I just can't press the middle button.
People wash with soap, so drying it will still mean that the ipod is broken.
OMG!! why would you give your little kids an Ipod touch!!!!!????!!!!! YDI!! you should have given it to them when they are older and know that it isnt cheap and so they will take better care of it!
Yeah you retard, it doesn't say OP's daughter is young. Learn to read before and have a valid reason for clicking YDI, or you'll just keep embarrassing yourself and making yourself look like a moron.. Moses on a Pogo stick..
while i can understand your plight, i don't think this is really your problem. if your kid is old enough to be considered responsible for having an iPod touch, then your kid SHOULD be old enough to do her own laundry. and checking her own pockets for these things. i mean, seriously, iPod touches are pretty big.
kid deserves it for not checking pockets. if it was indeed in a pocket/tucked somewhere in her laundry stuff, of course. if i left shit like that in my pockets and it ended up getting owned in the washing machine, my mom wouldn't give a rat's ass about it. if anything, she'd just laugh.
Seriously, what's with all those 'I forgot something in my washing machine and now it's ruined' FML (replace something by phone / ipod / paycheck / whatever? OK, it sucks but ONE FML LIKE THIS IS ENOUGH (See FML 5781865, 2529769, 250644)!
Er. Maybe the posters don't look through all the FMLs on here? If you're getting so sick of the same 'I left my -insert valuable object- in the washing machine', then don't read/comment on them? & Personally, I haven't actually seen that many.
let it dry out by a radiator. then stick it in a tub of rice for a few days. it's dries up all the inside moisture. worked for my boyfriends MacBook.
everyone is saying it's not the mothers problem but she probably bought it for her! that's why she's pissed.

Why do they deserve it? Whaaaaat? (Speaking to those who hit YDI, of course.) Dang kids! ;)
she deserves it for not checking her pockets. and only fyl if you were the one who bought it for her which i'm assuming.
