That's terrible that they are adding unsafe amounts, you need to report this somehow. My husband is crazy paranoid about the government and fluoride . He is a plumber and installed a reverse osmosis water filtration system to remove all the fluoride from the water at our house. Then worried we were loosing all minerals so added a re-mineraliser to add minerals back into the water. It's very loud and waste allot of water trying while purifying the water. I'd say bottled water would be easier!!

In the long run bottled water will add up...but over all a water purifier may not be a bad idea...or drastically go to well water

As for the OP, I strongly doubt that the municipal water supply has been over-fluoridated, since the EPA highly regulates tapwater. If the diagnosis is correct, then either OP is drinking well water from a highly mineralized well, or they've got an unidentified fluoride source in their diet. For instance a woman in Detroit (yes, also Michigan) was in the news last year with fluoride poisoning from drinking "the equivalent of 100 cups of tea a day for 17 years". There's a small amount of fluoride in tea.
