I swore by the copper iud and recommended to everyone for 6yrs. Until this summer that it got embeded in my uterus and I lost an 8wk old fetus. Lets just say that I never have to worry about having kids again.

There are many other forms of contraception. The nuva ring is a really great option for birth control and there are other types of condoms. Also, I pretty sure there are different birth control pills that won't agitate her allergy. All will work out, good luck!
