I do hope your son has plans to support the child financially, I think we waste enough in taxes simply because people are too irresponsible, we need accountability... bring back work farms.

While it's true that there is a large number of older kids that have trouble being adopted; there are many couples willing to adopt a newborn. Adoption would be a very good option for this 16 year old and I hope she considers it if she doesn't want to keep the baby.
