Today, I found out I'm going to be a grandfather. I'm 29, my son is 13 and the girl in question is 16. FML

Now if your grandson gets a child, you'll have done what takes most a century to do, in less than half. Congrats, future great grandpa!

You don't have a right to complain-- you were 16 when you had your son, so he's just "being like daddy!!". Obviously your bad decisions got passed onto your son. Congrats from not learning from you mistake the first time and actually teaching your son better behavior!! /sarcasm But yeah-- a 13 year old?? That's quite a grown-up mistake for just a boy. :/

He probably didn't talk to his son about sex because he was afraid of this.. Don't judge others before you know them

People! Can you all stop for a second and think!? Everyone's harping about how he's in no position to judge since he had a son at 16 and how he should have taught his son to learn from his mistakes. But remember, this is a 13 year old boy, who was probably warned before, but didn't care or listen. Most kids don't listen to their parents at 13. And I don't think he's judging his son. I think he's upset about how his son didn't learn from his experience.

Most kids don't listen to their parents because kids have no respect. Parents today are too afraid to discipline their children. Parents will allow their "precious bundles of joy" to do anything because they don't want to hurt their child's feelings. Parents want to be the friends of their child but they keep forgetting something: They are parents first, friends second.

I'm going to have to be with scotty49 here. You are 29, your son is 13. Pregnancy takes 9 months. So you were either 15 or 16 when you got your girlfriend pregnant. Wow.. you sure make a fine example. I'm sure your son did the math.

People like you make me lose hope.. You're judgmental and in my eyes that makes you a horrible person

As a european I am amazed at how much teen parents stories come from the usa. Sometimes I seriously wonder if they have never heard of birth control. PEOPLE WE HAVE THE TECNOLOGY!!! they aren't that expensive...

I'm sure teen pregnancy happens globally, regardless of economic status, but poking fun at a developed country just makes it juicier. I'm sure it's focused on, glorified, and televised more often in the U.S. just because it makes for a good story. How else would '16 and Pregnant' be so popular?

LoL, well ain't that a "black kettle" situation?

Have an abortion. A post-natal abortion, on your son, and then play in traffic. You're a failure as a parent.

Looks like history repeats itself! Like father like sun
