When I was growing up and hitting puberty, sex was the last thing on my mind. My parents never had the full sex talk with me but I knew that if I were to be sexually active and I ended up pregnant, I would have to deal with the consequences. Nowadays (this makes me sound a lot older than I actually am), people are not afraid of the consequences because parents are far too lenient with their children. Having a child at 13 or 16 does not make you cool. It makes you irresponsible, not just for yourself, but for the life of the unborn child.
