Today, I found out my best friend had 3 birthday parties for herself over the weekend. I wasn't invited to any of them. When I asked her why, she said I "didn't fit in" to any of the groups that were at the parties. All my other friends were invited. FML

Today, I was told I'm not invited to my best friend's birthday party. Apparently, being divorced and childless doesn't "mesh" well with the rest of the group. My parents are still watching her kids so she can go away for the weekend. FML

Today, I'd planned a surprise party for my best friend's birthday. However, she apparently found out about it and told me at the last minute she couldn't make it, probably to avoid being the center of attention. I'd already invited all of our mutual friends, so I had to awkwardly cancel the party. FML

Today, a close friend told me she had no plans for her birthday. I found out she was lying when I had to serve her and nine other mutual friends dinner at the restaurant I work at. I don't know what's worse, the fact that I wasn't invited or that none of them even remembered that I worked there. FML

Don't sweat it I had the same problem when I was 21; my best friend since I was 13 invited me to her 4th of July party, and then 2 weeks before called and said it was canceled cuz her live in grandparents were throwing a fit about it. So I get tickets to see Phantom of the Opera with my sister and mom. The day after I visit a friend at work, and he asks me why I wasn't at the party. What party? Oh there was one, and OOPS we weren't supposed to tell you. Why I ask? B/c a girl I'd introduced my best friend to at work didn't like me and wouldn't come to the party if I was there. She told the whole invited group not to tell me. They didn't, including my sister.
