Today, I found out my best friend had 3 birthday parties for herself over the weekend. I wasn't invited to any of them. When I asked her why, she said I "didn't fit in" to any of the groups that were at the parties. All my other friends were invited. FML

However, she apparently found out about it and told me at the last minute she couldn't make it, probably to avoid being the center of attention. I'd already invited all of our mutual friends, so I had to awkwardly cancel the party. FML

Today, a close friend told me she had no plans for her birthday. I found out she was lying when I had to serve her and nine other mutual friends dinner at the restaurant I work at. That sucks. Sounds like she didn't consider you as much of a friend to not invite you to any of them. Honestly saying "you wouldn't fit in" is a big tip-off, there are probably a lot of other parts of her life she doesn't think you fit into, I'd say ditch her for your own good

This person was never your friend, nor I imagine was she anybody's. She doesn't know what friendship is, and you should take it as a compliment that she didn't want you around.
