Today, I found out my diet and exercise plan wasn't nearly as effective when it comes to weight loss as I had originally thought. It turns out what really accounts for all the weight I've been losing is tapeworms. FML

Where do you buy those 'worms'? Sounds like a market breaker!

God heard your cries for help and granted you a special, 10 ft long, parasitic, energy draining, weight loss gift!

ok, right now, her body thinks it is starving, so it is metabolizing fat for energy. So she lost a few pounds and didn't have to work for it, score! oh really? not. Once she has the tapeworms removed, her body is going to turn everything she eats right back into fat because it has gotten used to being starved and is going to act accordingly. This is the basic starvation response, a slower metabolism. So she is going to have to work hard and be conscious of what she eats in order to safely keep the weight off, (i would suggest a nutritionist) or she will just gain it all back faster than ever.

Sweeet! Now we've got a new method for weightloss!

didn't you think to look what it said on the pack? Stupid person, tapeworms are bad for you!

You don't get a tapeworm from fleas. you get them from undercooked beef, pork, or fish with tapeworm cysts in them. And don't be an idiot and swallow medications for animals because those are for ROUND WORMS...and they're made for cats and dogs. Not people.

Ok, I worked at a vet for 7 years. Animals get tapeworms from eating/swallowing an infected flea. If it is caught early then it can be treated with a pill. It is taken twice, 7 days apart. They do "steal" nutrients from your diet. They live in the small intestine and if they are large they can also impede the small intestine's efforts to absorb nutrients. In humans it is a little more difficult to remove due to our digestive system. Sometimes it is necessary to starve the worm. You do this by eating/not eating in a cycle.
