Today, I found out that my apartment complex has no rules against having charcoal grills on the porch. So did the guy who lives below me. FML

Maybe you can get some plants out there and water them whenever he is out there. And then "accidentally" spill on him.

Well, I hope you like the smell of smoke, and cooked meat. No, I'm kidding, that really does suck, if you leave the door open your apartment will stink. Also, that REALLY isn't the safest thing, maybe you should talk to the owners?

Stay off the balcony, close the doors. Problem solved.

You don't see FMLs about people who live in houses like "Today, my neighbor decided to have a BBQ in his backyard and I can smell the charcoal. FML" If it happens ALL the time, that's one thing, but grilling occasionally? Enjoy the delicious smells, and ask if you can have some of whatever they're cooking.

Jump everyday and run a babysitting business. Problem solved.

The apartment building may not but every city and town I've ever heard of/lived in has strict fire codes forbidding it.
