So? People in prison need pen pals too.. I don't see anything wrong with it unless there was inappropriate things written in the letters.

First off, how old is your daughter? Second, you don't check who she's writing to? Third, it may not be sexual. Granted, it probably is. But she may just be helping him thru the tough times.

It doesn't matter if there are nice people in prison or not. The parent has every right to be upset about it, I would be and my father was in prison. Just because there may be nice people doesn't replace the fact that there are also very bad people in there.
