Gee, I wonder what he's in jail for.
Depends on the age of the daughter as to how creepy this is, methinks
Young enough to live in a parent's house, old enough to know how to write an address and letter properly.
That could be anywhere up to about 40 these days, I'm sure in the context of the FML that the daughter isn't that old, but I'm just saying that she might not be young enough for this to really be a big issue. The mother could have a problem with the prison bit, not the age bit.
I used to write to prisoners in America on death row when I was 18-19. It doesn't mean that the guys are pedophiles. And I did it because I had studied legal studies at College, and then started studying to be a chaplain. So I started by trying to help people who were in desperate need of it.
Talk about desperate.
I think its interesting how men and woman can become infatuated with people in prison. Some even put their live totally on hold for these people. I understand this may not apply directly to this fml. Just an interesting thought.
I've thought about writing to them but haven't for the exact reason you mention, I'm a habitual "rescuer" I'm always attracted to "broken" people, I don't mean that in a condescending way, and not to mean people in prison are broken, I've always just worried I'd get way too attached.
I totally agree. That show Prison Wives is something else. Some of them have married men that will never get out, and they actually have a "proxy" groom stand in for the wedding. Wtf.
Do you even lift?
Remember, this is the Internet... where men are men, women are men, and I'm actually a 13 year old schoolgirl pretending to be an under-cover FBI agent, pretending to be an Escort. Disclaimer: The Bureau accepts no liability, for the consequences of following any "advice" given out by Jodie.
Ok, they have programs like that to help the prisoners. But FYL

Surprise!! :D
So? People in prison need pen pals too.. I don't see anything wrong with it unless there was inappropriate things written in the letters.
