Today, I found out that my estranged daughter has been married for five years. I wasn't told of or invited to their wedding, and the only reason I know now is because she needs money for a divorce lawyer. FML

I hate to say it, but suggest a loan officer or something. I know it's your daughter... But if my child didn't speak to me for 5 years and didn't even invite me to her wedding, I wouldn't help her. "You got yourself into this mess.. Now get yourself out." I know it's harsh.. But tough love always teaches a good lesson. Merry Christmas, OP! :)

As far as OP's daughter is concerned, she doesn't have one. Blood doesn't mean spit, and it's naïve to think otherwise. Thankfully, I haven't a reason to take advantage of that fact.
