The most she could do is see if her fiance could deploy at a later time. While not likely, the military isn't completely heartless when it comes to these things. Besides, there is no way either of them could've known during the wedding planning that he would be deployed that day. Don't you guys think they would've changed the date if they knew this earlier? If her fiance can't work something out, then she is out of luck. Depending on how close it is to the wedding, it's really difficult to find a day where everyone and everything would work out like you wanted. OP, I"m sorry that this is happening to you. I'm a military wife as well, and I couldn't imagine how frustrating and heartbreaking this is. Let the disrespectful comments begin :)

More like FHL. He's the one being deployed. but thanks to him and the others serving in the Military.

wow ppl on here are just stupid how is this her fault or his ! ? ! dumbass ! !

She married a military man. She knew what she was getting into.

surprisingly most don't and if often the service member's fault.

That sucks op but don't make him feel bad for it..

best thing to do would be to say your I do's in a courthouse and have the ceremony when he returns.. he'll be making more money deployed AND married and you two will be in a better position to have an even better wedding then in. the first place. good luck with the push. kill

welcome to the life as a military wife. Sucks dont it. I would do it at the courthouse and have a ceremony when he gets back, I had to move mine up half a year because my husband got his orders. Good luck

Good luck with getting his orders changed. The army didn't let my husband stay home even though he had medical orders that he was to. He got deployed three weeks after I had heart surgery. All I can say is do a Justice of the Peace wedding and reschedule the Ceremony in a year or so. BTW good luck getting any military spousal pay for anywhere from 3-6 months. Then a nice chunk of back pay to pay for all the deposits you just lost. I am sorry he is getting deployed but its slim to no chance of his orders changing.

Meh, it happens. It's not fun, but it's life. I planned my wedding in 2 weeks. Go get eloped and do the big wedding later. No need to stress. If you can't get refunds have the party anyways!
