Don't the parents usually help pay for the wedding?
My family helped a little with ours in the way that my stepmom does professional photography and my stepdad has a BBQ catering business so they gave us those services for free which was a huge help. My husbands family on the other hand has always hated me and most of them didn't come to the wedding and the ones who did , did not go to the reception.
What is this the stone age? Your adults now, you are responsible for the decisions you make. Pay for your own wedding.
And? You're an adult aren't you?
Why don't you pay for it yourself
Why would you expect them to pay for your wedding? Not normal where I'm from...
Here's a weird suggestion... Pay for your own damn wedding. I'm sick and tired of seeing people whinge about parents not contributing enough to a wedding. Grow up, you're a ******* adult. Start acting like it and be truly independent.
It's your wedding. You pay for it. It's not the olden days where you have a dowery.
Aw, poor you... Get real... :-/

Why don't you save and pay for it yourselves? That IS an option, you kno.
Agreed with the previous postings. Honestly, if you're old enough to be getting married, then you should be able to afford to pay for the wedding and the honeymoon. If you can't afford it, then you need to figure something out. It's not the parents responsibility, it's yours. YDI for not planning ahead.
