Today, I found out that people can get ringworm from cats. I found out because I have ringworm. I don't have a cat. Then I remembered I helped a friend move about two weeks ago, and spent the night sharing a bed with her cat. That's the last time I ever help her move. FML

How do you know you got it from your friends cat? You can get ringworm plenty of ways, and it would be pretty hard not to notice that on a cat anyways.

my aunt lives by this. put clear nail polish on the entire surface of the spot; if it's no larger than a penny. let it dry and leave it alone. she used this technique on my arm when I was little and I swear it stopped "growing/spreading" and went away.

10 - You're thinking of tapeworm, ringworm isn't actually a worm it's a fungal skin infection. Don't be so vile unless you're properly informed.

Cats are so gross. About 80% of the FMLs are about disgusting cats. People think they are so clean because they wash themselves but think of this. They stand in their own shit and piss in the litterbox and then jump on kitchen tables

Cat's can easily be trained not to jump on the table. I don't know why everyone thinks it's so freaking hard to train cats. Mine stays off the kitchen counters and table, comes when I call, doesn't get on my lap when I'm eating. He, like a dog, goes outside to piss/shit. We don't even keep a littler box for him unless we're going out of town, and he never has gone on the carpet or floor or any laundry. Occasionally if no one is around to let him out, he'll pee/poop in the bathtub, but at least that's easy to clean. Cat's often get ringworm the same way people do: too close with an animal who has it, and as has been mentioned already: if it's in the early stages, it's not obvious yet. Hmmm that turned into a rant.....

I honestly didn't know that cats could get contained with ringworm. I thought it was called tape worm. Well, there goes my chances of studying to be a vet, thankfully, I wasn't studying to become one though overwise I would indeed fail.

Tapeworm and ring worm are two different things Tapeworm is a parasite, which usually is rather difficult (though not totally impossible) to get from cats. Ringworm is a skin fungus, similar to athletes foot and very easily can go from a cat to a person, to any other person.

Tapeworm is also pretty hard to get rid of, without prescribed meds, that is.

62 you are a ******* retard. That is all.

Unless you caught it from somewhere else an now you're blaming the cat, your friend is an asshole for not taking care of his cat. You should have seen the cat in bad hygiene condition with mass hair loss, not every animal has ringworm.
