I don't think it's wrong at all either way. OP didn't know how young her crush was, and once she found out, she realized how inappropriate it was and resolved not to pursue him. That's exactly the way this situation should have turned out.
I'm 21 and constantly am checking out 17 or 18 year olds. If I don't know that they're young why would I beat myself up? However, 15 is a bit young to go after whether you're a girl or a gay man, (since we don't know OP's gender).
In 3 years all will be perfectly legal. And when you both are around 90, the 7 year age gap will be something to laugh about.
There is a saying" true love waits true crush crushes" in this case you are crushed.
matureformyage "Today I found out the guy I've been crushing on for months now won't have anything to do with me - just because I'm 15. FML"
Having once been a 15 year old boy, I'd say go for it. He'll be so grateful
You're saying OP should risk imprisonment so a child can get laid?!?! Wtf is wrong with you? Yeah that's not worth it.
Plenty of 15 year old boys who were taken advantage of by adults would disagree with you, 42.
That sort of BS attitude is what leads to boys not speaking up about being molested because they'd be "lucky" to have it happen (not saying the OP is doing anything like that, obviously just that #42s comment is gross and harmful). So gross.
It's not creepy at all. I've gone to bars with male friends of mine who flirted heavily with girls and turned interesting shades of red and backed off when they learned how young those girls were. I'd never call those guys creepy, because they did exactly what they should've done in that situation - as soon as they got the information that the contact they were having was inappropriate, they ended it. That's all you can expect from people, since we're not born with our dates of birth stamped on our heads.
I know, right? She should have checked the number clearly stamped on his forehead.
hey if you think that's bad one of my friends who is 17 is seeing a 40 year old worst part is it is legal where I'm from. I went to the cops they just laughed and told me it's legal.
17 is the age of consent through out most of the US. 18 is just being a legal adult. So at 17 you can sleep with any other legal adults (depending on the state), and at 18 you can smoke, die for your country, see rated R movies, etc.
you can see R rated movies at 17.

Age is just a number and jail is just a room.
I remember being in 8th grade and there were 6ft tall students with full beards. sometimes people bloom early, just move on OP. plenty more dudes out there.
