Today, I found out that the weird lump on my eye is benign. That would be great news but they aren't going to treat it at all. Now I look like I'm high all the time. FML

Wear your hair in dreadlocks, get several Bob Marley tie-dye T-shirts and listen to nothing but reggae, and you will find people who think you are great. What could be better than a friend who is high all the time without consuming your stash of ganja?

Great excuse for you to actually get high constantly. With your face how it is now, why not do anything to forget your problems?

Aww, you poor little thing. I can't imagine the heartache you must feel knowing that you have this THING on your eye all the time. Wow, that really sucks. Now, back to reality, princess. It ISN'T cancer, so be ******* glad. There are lots of people who don't get good news like this, so be thankful it isn't anything you have to worry about. Buy some sunglasses, wear some makeup, or GET THE DAMN THING REMOVED. ******* whiny-ass bitch.

Erm.. for a start having it removed WOULD BE TREATMENT and OP already said they won't treat it. A lot of Docs are reluctant to remove things if they don't know exactly what it is. Also it is clearly causing her problems so even if it isn't cancer it's still a problem, for all you know it could be something that ends up costing her her sight so STFU!

A lot of docs? Bullshit. I remove things all the time when I don't know what they are. It's called an excisional biopsy. Look it up. If she doesn't like how her doctor is treating (or not treating) her, she needs to find a doctor who will. If the lump is affecting her eyesight, that's an indication for excision. From over here, it only looks like one of us knows what we're talking about.

doc bastard STFU seriously. ur an idiot and I'm not even going to waste my time telling you why. I'm really happy ur not my doctor because you just sound and act like a prick that bitches at a lot of people. I used to like ur comments but now ur just a ******* ass that should stop commenting on fmls. thumbs Down my comment all u want. idc :) go ahead even make multiple accounts to do it lol ;)

LifeSucksbtw - you know, you're right. I've wronged too many people, and I'm ashamed of myself. I hereby apologise to everyone I've insulted, and I will delete my account. Wait, why the hell would I create multiple accounts to thumb you down? I couldn't give two ***** about you and your comment. Oh, and if you think for one millisecond that I give any credence to you and your "advice", then you're just as insane as you sound. Oops, there I go again. I'm so sorry. Where is that "delete account" button anyway?

65- You say you're not going to waste your time telling him why, but you're wasting you time commenting telling him that he's a prick, which I'm sure he could give two ***** what you think of him. He tells it how it is, and knows what he's talking about. If you don't like what he has to say, stop reading it and get off FML.

Ugh.. people are dumb. Just because her doctor is not going to treat it, it doesn't mean she can't have it removed. It's a cosmetic procedure though, which is likely why her own doctor won't do it. She can get a consult from a plastic surgeon if it's really that big of a deal to her.

As far as I'm aware you are ONE person (and no multiple personalities don't count) My point still stands, a LOT of docs won't just randomly cuts things off. Just because you are quite happy to do it doesn't mean ALL docs would do the same. I am assuming of course that you are in fact a doctor and not just a total wanker who thinks he's smart..

Geeks, yes, I'm a surgeon. I'm not sure what doctors you're referring to, but surgeons WILL take things off, often without a diagnosis. We don't just randomly lop things off, though. I don't want you to misunderstand.

would you take someone's hands off if they wouldn't stop typing stupid crap?

Bender, don't freaking tempt me. :)

:). hehe. just wondering. seems valid.

Yeah, I highly suspect this is either an insurance issue, or a matter of another naïve American failing to self-advocate and taking one doctor's word as gospel. If it affects your quality of life, there's a valid reason to remove it. Time to do some research and find some different docs.

Jim brewer made a good career out of looking high all the time. sooooo... I hope you're funny.

I don't understand how that can make you look high all the time... I certainly don't get lumps on my eyes when I toke. :/ Unless it makes you all squinty or something.

It probably irritates her eye and makes it bloodshot (that would be my guess anyway)

Her eyelid probably looks droopy from it, thus giving her the stoned look.

What drug causes "weird lumps" on eyeballs?

Listening to the black eyed peas will cause unsightly lumps.

Demand treatment. that shit might turn malignant

I'm pretty sure you can find a doctor that can remove it. There is more than one ophthalmologist out there, you know.

the problem is most likely insurance, it'd count as cosmetic and mist insurance companies won't pay for cosmetic stuff, same as some boob jobs count as medical reasoning (usually reductions)

you should do things with your good leg that make people forget about that weird lump on your eye.
