Today, I found out that whenever my ex-wife is late getting the kids to school, she tells them to tell their teachers they were with me, and forges my name on the sign-in sheet. Missing homework? Dad's house. Forgot to bring something important? Ditto. The school thinks I'm a horrible parent. FML

What she doesn't realize is that in a school with only 180 students, it's impossible to get away with stuff like that. The principal knows what's up, because we dealt with similar issues last year; I just didn't think I was going to have to schedule meetings with the teachers again about it (outside of the regular parent-teacher conferences, which she attends). I *had* kind of noticed the teachers giving me the stink-eye in the car line lately though.

Wow... That's terrible... I'm so sorry dude. As a parent with five daughters and one with another woman.... I can relate to this. Just tell them it isn't true but you don't get mad at her about it or confront her about it because her doctor said if she is pushed to hard her multiple personalities might shatter, sending her to the hospital with padded walls.. Be sure to do it with a serious and straight face, almost like you're concerned.

Overall, it still seems better to have the school think you're a horrible parent than it is to still be married to that horrible person.

I just found out friday my ex is doing the same thing to me at our children's school. sad thing is they never bring their bookbags in to my house because they have no homework on the weekends, which is when I have them.
