A marriage is supposed to be more than just a relationship. Most people don't enter into marriages expecting them to fail, as it's supposed to be "for better or for worse". Unless it's Hollywood.

im sorry to hear that, but it doesnt matter if you are soulmates or not, you just dont-do-a-tattoo-with-your-girlfriend/wife/affair/whatever name. i know marriages are supposed to last, but the thing is you never know what's gonna happen,so just save the money and.... don't. too late now,maybe you can tattoo FML under it.

Wow I don't get why everyone is still assuming its of a name. Either way, you deserve it. At least there are now ways to get them kind of removed. Have fun with that pain.

Isn't that one of the rules of tattoos? Never get a tattoo with an SO's name on it, never get a tattoo about being married, etc? If I got someone's name, it'd be my kid's name. They'll always be my kids, but DH may not always be DH... I hope that's not the case!

In Wisconsin, it's legal to get married while you're drunk, but it's illegal to get a tattoo while you're drunk. The reason? Tattoos are permanent. The funny/sad part is, this isn't intended to be a joke; it's a fact. Sure, you can get it removed, but it's likely to leave a scar. Hopefully it won't be too hard to cover up.

You should never tattoo a partners name one your body. How is that EVER a good idea? And anyone who thinks it is a good idea is a moron. Although you hope that it is FOREVER, I would never take that remote chance that it wouldn't and be stuck with it or have to work with a cover-up or removal.
