Today, I found out via a voicemail from my boss that my hours are being cut. He said, "They said I can't fire you, so you'll only be getting 20 hours a week. Starting today." Who'd they give my other 20 hours to? The one person that calls off sick almost daily and is never on time. FML

I would use the time off to start looking for a better job where they appreciate you. Sometimes, you just can't win and it's time to move on. Best of luck, OP !

I'm a complete amateur, call your local labor board and ask them if your situation is anything illegal. Then you'll know what realm of "you're ******" you're working with. Good luck!

At least you'll get some of your wages back when they need somebody to cover the sick days.

Legal terms aren't magic words. Just because you use the words "slander" and "discrimination" in a sentence doesn't mean you have any grounds for a lawsuit. How OP even got the idea that this slander is beyond me.
